God did not create a human family made up of segregated, dissociated, mutually independent members. No; He would have them all united by the bond of total love of Him and consequent self-dedication to assisting one another.

–Venerable Pius XII

PRAY

The success of this enormous undertaking – building a traditional Cistercian monastery in 21st-century America – depends primarily on the grace of God. Were we not confident in faith that His hand both started this project and will see it through to completion, we would not proceed.

Therefore and before all else, we ask you to join us in offering prayer and sacrifice to the Holy Trinity specifically through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Having experienced her motherly intervention after entrusting a crucial project decision to her, we continue to entrust everything to the Mother of the Americas.

In particular we invite you to join us in praying the Sub Tuum, which is the oldest known prayer to the Mother of God and daily ends our office of Lauds. A downloadable copy is available here.

SPREAD THE WORD

As a cloistered monastic community, we need you, our friends in the faith, to assist us in making the new monastery project known to our fellow Catholics and other people of good will. We humbly ask you to be heralds of the good news of our growth and our pressing need to build a traditional Cistercian monastery.

DONATE

We also invite you to contribute financially to making this new monastery a reality. We are grateful for every gift, small or large; each donation helps us toward our goal.

There are many ways to support the new monastery that also contribute to your own personal and financial goals.

Outright gifts to the new monastery, such as cash, stock and property, can lower your tax liability. They also permit us to put your philanthropy to work immediately. Deferred gifts benefit the community in the future and can substantially lower your income and estate taxes.

You can designate your gift to benefit the building project in general, which gives us the flexibility to use funds for the most pressing project needs. We also welcome gifts in honor or memory of your loved ones.

PLEASE NOTE: With the construction and capital campaign wrapping up, all donations beginning January 1st, 2025 will no longer be designated for the New Monastery construction, but will be used as needed by Valley of Our Lady Monastery. If desired and indicated, gifts may be given toward the New Monastery Maintenance Fund.

Make a Pledge

Although pledges are non-binding and therefore flexible, they do help us in several ways. First, if you give regularly, making a pledge helps us know the total amount you plan to give over the course of the campaign. Second, your pledges also help us calculate the cash flow.

Other Types of Gifts to consider

We are grateful for any assistance you can offer us in this project, for the glory of God. We remember our benefactors in our daily prayers; please keep us in yours.

Every time we share our goods with our neighbor in need, we discover that all is returned to us as … peace, inner satisfaction and joy. Our Father in heaven rewards our almsgiving with His joy. What is more: ‘Charity covers a multitude of sins.’
